St Peter's Church, Cowfold
Sunday Services:
8.00am Holy Communion (BCP) – 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month
10.00am Sung Eucharist – 1st and 5th Sundays of the month
10.00am ‘Short and Sweet’ Family Service – 2nd Sunday of the month
11:15am Sung Eucharist – 4th Sunday of the month
6.00pm Taizé Worship by Candlelight – 3rd Sunday of the month




Children are welcome at all services. In the area towards the back of the church you will find a themed “Church in a Box”. The box of activities is made available at each Sung Eucharist for children and their parents/carers to dip into during the service if they wish. The theme is changed each week.

Tea and coffee is served after the Sung Eucharist so please stay, chat and share in our fellowship together.

From time to time, (e.g. Christmas and Easter) special services will be offered, so please check the Calendar or Events pages to confirm dates and times.

Services in more detail:

Sunday Services
8:00am Holy Communion
A quiet service, using the old language and order of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. This service includes a short sermon, and lasts for approximately ¾ hour.
(2nd, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month).

10:00am Sung Eucharist
This Eucharist Service follows the order of Common Worship (2000), and lasts approximately 1 ¼ hours. It includes a sermon, and is followed by refreshments. (1st and 5th Sundays of the month).

10:00am ‘Short and Sweet’ Family Service
A family service being held at St. Peter's. ‘Short’ because it lasts for around 30 minutes, and ‘Sweet’ because the service is followed by a cup of hot chocolate! (2nd Sunday of the month at Cowfold).

11:15am Sung Eucharist
This Eucharist Service follows the order of Common Worship (2000), and lasts approximately 1 ¼ hours. It includes a sermon, and is followed by refreshments. (4th Sunday of the month).

6:00pm Taizé Worship by Candlelight
An evening service of gentleness, peace and simplicity, with times for prayerful reflection, using the principles of the Taizé Community in France. (3rd Sunday of the month ).
